A parent or guardian account is free and always will be. It is how consent is given, and a platform does not charge a family to be asked for permission.

What happens to your child's video

  • Nothing until you say so. Video and SCAN Combine features stay locked for a child until a verified parent or guardian has signed the media consent and the liability waiver. A coach cannot sign them for you and neither can the platform.
  • It is kept for a stated period and then it is gone. The retention period is on the upload screen before a file is chosen, not buried in a policy after it has landed.
  • Consent has a version and a date, and a way out. If what SCAN does with video changes, the consent is re-asked rather than quietly extended, and withdrawing it is a control on your own page.
  • No third-party analytics. There is no advertising pixel and no session recorder watching your child use this. Nothing about them is sold, and nothing about them trains a model for anyone else.
  • Usage counting never reads their content. What the platform meters is reads and allowances — never what is in a video or what a report says.
  • Everything is exportable. Every report can be printed or downloaded from the page it is on, and an erasure request in your settings reaches a person.

What your child actually gets

Honest A number never invented A pillar nobody has scouted says "not scouted". It never reads as a zero, and your child is never shown a score that came from nothing.
Theirs A record that follows them Every technique they film is saved and scored. When they change squad or age group, the record is still theirs — and with your consent it can go to next season's coach.
