Media & Video Consent and Release
This consent covers the recording and use of video and images of your player on the SCAN Central platform. It exists because SCAN's coaching model is built on video: players and coaches film technique repetitions, SCAN Combine tests, training, and matches, and the platform analyzes that footage to support coaching.
1. What you are consenting to
As the parent or legal guardian, signing this consent allows the following, for as long as your player has an account:
- Recording — video and photographs of your player during training, technique repetitions, SCAN Combine tests, and matches, taken by the player, by you, or by club coaching staff.
- Upload and storage — uploading that footage to the platform, where it is stored by SCAN's hosting provider.
- AI analysis — processing of the footage by artificial-intelligence services engaged by SCAN to produce draft technique, physical, and tactical assessments, which a coach reviews. Excerpts of the footage are transmitted to the AI provider for this purpose and are not used to train the provider's models where that control is available.
- Coaching use — viewing of the footage and assessments by your player, by you and other verified guardians, by the coaching staff of your player's team and club, and by platform administrators.
- Development records — inclusion of stills, clips, scores, and assessments in your player's development reports and team reports inside the platform.
2. What this consent does NOT include
- Public or promotional use. SCAN will not use your player's footage, image, or name in public marketing, social media, or advertising without a separate, specific written consent.
- Sale or licensing of footage to third parties.
- Any use after deletion is requested, except as needed to complete deletion from backups on SCAN's maintenance schedule.
Match and training footage may incidentally include other players; the club obtains this same consent from each enrolled family, and footage is visible only to the audiences listed in Section 1.
3. Your rights
- You may withdraw this consent at any time by written notice to admin@scansoccer.com. Withdrawal stops new recording and analysis; previously generated coach assessments may be retained as part of the team's records unless you also request deletion.
- You may request deletion of specific videos, or of all of your player's footage and data, under the Privacy Policy.
- This consent is voluntary; video-based features cannot function without it, and you may decline it while declining those features.
4. Release
In exchange for your player's participation in SCAN's video-based coaching, you release and hold harmless SCAN, its officers, employees, and coaching staff from claims arising from the recording and the uses described in Section 1, to the extent those uses comply with this consent and the Privacy Policy. This release does not extend to uses outside this consent, or to conduct that the law does not permit to be released.
