Tournament Participation Release and Waiver

One signature per player per tournament · Document version v2026-08-08 · Signed electronically by a verified parent or guardian from the Parent dashboard.

This release covers your player's participation in one specific tournament as a member of their team — the tournament named on the signing card — including warm-ups, matches, breaks between matches, and team activities at the event.

1. Acknowledgment of risk

Competitive tournament soccer involves extended physical exertion — often multiple matches in a day, in variable weather, on unfamiliar fields, against unfamiliar opponents. The inherent risks cannot be eliminated even with proper supervision, officiating, and equipment, and include muscle and joint injuries, fractures, concussion and other head injuries, heat-related illness, contact injuries, and, in rare cases, catastrophic injury. Travel to and from the event carries its own ordinary risks.

2. Player readiness and conduct

3. Assumption of risk and release

Knowing these risks, you voluntarily permit your player to participate and assume, on your own behalf and your player's behalf, all risks of injury or loss arising from participation. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release the club, its officers, employees, contractors, coaches, and team volunteers from claims arising out of the player's participation, including claims based on ordinary negligence. This release does NOT extend to gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct. The tournament organizer and venue may require their own separate waivers, which are between you and those parties.

4. Travel

Unless the club states otherwise in writing, transportation to and from the tournament is arranged and supervised by families, not by the club.

5. Medical authorization

If your player is injured or becomes ill during the tournament and you cannot be reached promptly, you authorize the coach or team staff to secure emergency medical treatment, including transport to a medical facility, at your expense. The signing card asks for your emergency contact at the event; tell the coach directly about any allergies, medications, or conditions treating staff should know.

Signing happens on the Parent dashboard under Permissions, per tournament: your signature is recorded with your name, the date and time, the event, and this document version (v2026-08-08). It expires when the event ends.
